What we hold, and why
Short version: the details you give us are used to run the session and for nothing else. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising or tracking of any kind.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site: your name, mobile number, email, your child's first name and date of birth, whether your child is a girl or a boy if you choose to say, the first part of your postcode, who normally brings your child, and anything you choose to tell us in the notes box, which may include allergies or additional needs.
We also record whether you are happy for your child to be photographed, because we have to be able to honour it.
Why we hold it
- To run the session safely. Knowing who is coming, who is bringing them, and what we need to know about your child.
- To reach you. If a session moves, or something happens on the day, we need to be able to contact you quickly.
- To place children correctly. Date of birth decides which group a child is in.
That is the complete list. Your details are never sold, never shared with another organisation for their own purposes, and never used for advertising.

Each of these is a processor acting on our instructions. We do not use any of them to build a profile of you.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no Meta tracking and no third party script watching what you read. That is why there is no cookie banner to click away.
Everything the site needs to display, including the fonts, is served from this site itself. Loading a page here sends your browser to no other company, and nothing is stored on your device by us.
How long we keep it
- While your child is with us, and then for the rest of that season in case you come back.
- Enquiries that never became sign ups are cleared out at the end of each season.
- Accident records are kept longer, because we are obliged to.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you or your child, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@beforeitcounts.com and it is done, normally within a few days rather than the month the law allows.
You can withdraw photograph consent at any time without giving a reason. You can withdraw consent to hold your details at any time, although if you do that while your child is attending we will not be able to run the session for them safely, and we would rather say that plainly than surprise you with it.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children's information
Everything we hold about a child is provided by their parent or carer, and it is kept to the minimum that lets us run the session. We do not ask children for information and we do not publish their names.
